Arabians make great pleasure horses because of their ease to train and their versatility. The original “do everything” horse long before Justin Morgan ever hit dirt, these horses will bend in half to make their owners look good, and damn anyone else’s opinion on life! Arabians have made an art form out of multi tasking, going to show English Pleasure in the morning and working the ranch on the weekend. Many enjoy trail riding, even active breeding stallions can make wonderful trail or hunting companions. They will work cows, or be reigning champions, or get really fat and be a fine horse gift pet. It really only matters what you want to do with your particular animal. They make excellent pleasure drivers, and are popular parade stallions because they are flashy and easy to handle. They are unparalleled as children’s horses, as they are manageable but will not be outgrown as would a smaller pony as the child becomes a young adult, and their long productive lifespan ensures your investment (the years of training a horse and it’s purchase price) will last a long time for whomever enjoys their company. Broodmares can even make a substantial profit for the caring owner, many Arabian foals are valuable as show horses and treasured companions.

Arabian Horses for Sale - Performance

Arabian sport horses have become increasingly popular in the last several years, and stallions such as Qatahn have really made an impression on the sport horse industry.  Arabians can reach sizes of well over sixteen hands, and are an excellent choice as a dressage or eventing mount, as their natural animation and presence make them great showmen.    They make great jumpers as well, their natural center of gravity and stellar coordination endure them to the task. Arabians and Half Arabians perform to very high caliber in the western divisions as well, Cutting Roping and Reigning teams are popping up more and more often, the horses performing career tending to last longer than your average Quarter horse career usually does, meaning more money in the animal’s owner’s pocket.  In fact, the working life span of the Arabian goes well into its twenties, and I have seen more than the odd few performing to some extent in its thirties even, if only as a child’s mount.  This makes the Arabian breed one of the soundest choices in the horse industry.
